That's very weird.

Speaking of GF, how is it now? I stopped watching ages ago, when Stan's brother popped out of the portal.

Piccolo: Just how many people have you sacrificed?!

Cell: Sacrifice? Hmph, rubbish! On the contrary, it is an honor to become a fraction of my power.

Maybe you turned off hardware acceleration?

@Question, how come I can play over an hour of The Witcher III and not have my CPU temp go above 55, but I can't watch ten minutes of Gravity Falls on full screen in 420p without it going up to 60? Is it Firefox related?

What browser are you using? Are you watching it online? If so then try to watch it from an other streaming site and see if the problem persists or not. If the problem persists and if you are using FireFox you could try to disable OpenH264 Video Codec and Primetime Content Decryption Module Add-ons from the FireFox Add-ons manager. Also try to watch to the video from an another web browser and see if the problem persists or not.

It takes a mere second for treasure to turn to trash.

I wonder, could this be from having it on fullscreen? I don't think it's the thermal paste unless it really has been awhile, and if popping the side of your tower doesn't help.... well, you said that windowed mode helped a video game you were playing? Was the video you were watching in fullscreen? Maybe that's the common element here. I still don't have a definitive answer other than to update all your drivers if you haven't, but, it's helpful to narrow down the source. Does it still spike up in temperature when you're watching the video in a windowed mode?

Yep, only full screen and only with Firefox.

Well... that's certainly bizarre, but, at least you know it's fullscreen that does it. What's your screen resolution at? Is Firefox updated? Does it go away if you use another browser?

My resolution is 1920x1080. Firefox is updated and I don't have any issues with playing videos on full screen with Chrome.

I wonder if Mozilla is not compatible with a certain piece of your hardware. It seems odd that a web browser would overheat your CPU.

I think that it could be related to plug ins.

I think that's a lot more likely, did you try updating Flash, Java, any other plugins you have on Mozilla yet?

Has this issue been resolved at all in any capacity yet? I understand you can't process video in HD?

My PC's stock cooler is the culprit. I've been reading a lot of accounts of people getting hot CPU's because of the i7's s***ty heat sink.
